Digit Murphy is a trailblazer, visionary, and builder in the world of women's sports. Most recently, she served as President of the Metropolitan Riveters in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF), where she and the BTM ownership group revitalized a struggling franchise by rebranding and securing a groundbreaking deal with Triple Five LLC to host games at the American Dream Mall. Before this, she was the founding president of the Toronto Six, the first PHF franchise in Canada. Under her leadership, the team quickly rose to prominence, culminating in winning the prestigious Isobel Cup in 2023. Earlier in her career, Digit played a pivotal role in developing women's professional hockey in China as part of the KHL’s Kunlun Red Star, helping to build the program in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Her coaching career is equally distinguished, with 24 years at Brown University, where she led the team to numerous championships in the ECAC and Ivy League, and a tenure with the CWHL’s Boston Blades, where she secured two Clarkson Cup championships.

Digit's role at BTM extended beyond team management; she oversaw partnerships, sponsorships, and recruiting, always challenging the existing markets and models in women's sports. Prior to BTM, she was involved in a startup that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Her earlier work with the KHL’s Kunlun Red Star involved creating the Sport Ambassador model in China, where she emphasized paying players fairly and advancing women’s hockey. Under her leadership, the KRS team in the CWHL nearly clinched a first-place league finish and ended as runner-ups in the CWHL final. Throughout her extensive career, Digit has been a fierce advocate for women in sports, coaching numerous Olympians and All-Americans, and earning multiple ECAC and Ivy League titles. Her passion for increasing the presence of women in ice hockey and coaching is a core part of her philosophy, which she integrates into all her endeavors.

Digit is currently the Founder of Team Ruth (named after her mother and to RBG's legacy) a company dedicated to connecting athletes with corporations, furthering her mission to create opportunities for women through the power of sports.

Aronda spent three years with the Boston Blades in team operations and most recently as GM; after two Clarkson Cup wins with the franchise she is making the move to the next innovative endeavor in women’s sports.

As co-founder of the Play It Forward Sport Foundation, she will be establishing a model where female pro athletes can get paid to play pro hockey, while playing forward their skills to be sport ambassadors—mentoring and empowering other athletes in the community.

With 15 years experience in hockey development and operations and over 30 years in business and technology project management, she intends to use this wealth of knowledge as a spring board to start this new initiative.

As GM she served as Director of Operations and Game Management for the Blades organization, facilitating and coordinating all aspects of team operations, game day logistics and personnel; as Director for Digit Murphy Enterprises, she managed player recruiting and retention, the operations of elite player development camps, community day camps and the RI high school development league of players.

As a co-founder and Director for the RI IXpress, hockey program in Rhode Island, she was instrumental in the development of the first girls’ Tier 1 hockey program in the state; in this capacity Aronda had administrative oversight for finance, game operations, managed the program staff and volunteers, coordinated player development initiatives and worked as the liaison for all the community outreach programs. She also served as a board member of The Friends of the Blades organization and was a 2013 fellow of the Rhode Island Women’s Fund Policy Institute.
